Important features of combined heat and power (CHP) plants with various drive units provide an indication of their range of uses. A large power to heat ratio indicates, for example, a high yield of electrical energy in relation to the useful heat. The partial load behaviour describes the economic efficiency of a CHP plant when, for example, the operation is frequently interrupted.
